Intec today issued an Operations And Capital Raising Update. To view the complete update, click here. Some highlights are shown below:

Burnie Research Facility Recognised

Commercial waste recycling operations have continued successfully at Intec's Burnie Research Facility. The environmental and economic benefits of this operation were recognised this week, with Intec coming 'runner up' for the 2009 Small Business Sustainability Award as part of the Tasmanian Awards for Environmental Excellence.

Victorian Waste Recycling Project

The operations update confirms the on-time lodgement of Intec’s application with the Victorian EPA for funding support for its $2 million cash-cost recycling project in Victoria.

The company considers that these waste technologies are more broadly applicable in Australia and overseas.

South Australian Project

Intec has also advanced its due diligence for the potential use of the existing recycling facility at Whyalla, and all available indicators firmly support the continued advancement of this project.

China Project

The company has also progressed its discussions with its Chinese counterparts for the first Chinese project using the Intec Process technology for the recycling of zinc, lead and other metals from Chinese steel industry dust.
